Trick or Treating London

Halloween was really fun and totally different in London.  Its not nearly as big in the UK because it is such an American holiday, but there are pockets all over the city where it is celebrated. Luckily, we live in one of those places.  In fact, people flock to SJW because of its reputation as a Halloween hotspot due to the higher concentration of Americans living here.  We met some friends at their home to say hello first and then met some other friends from Taylor's soccer team that we walked around with.  Kate went with some school friends from Marylebone and they all changed into zombie Starbucks baristas and she just had the best time.

We headed out around 4:30, just as the sun was starting to set.  It got totally dark by 5 and the streets were completely packed.  We headed home at 6 as a lot of homes were out of candy and the kids were already toast!  And, it was so great to end the night early, spend time together at home, eat dinner and just relax.

I really, really enjoyed how different it was.  I loved peeking in the gorgeous homes, walking down the busy streets, seeing my kids having so much fun with totally new friends from all over the world, and filling our buckets with different kinds of candy (tons of Cadbury stuff...I am not complaining)!  The weather was perrrrfect and the foliage right now is just amazing.  I cannot get enough of the colorful fall leaves all over.
